InMAT is governed by a Board of Directors all of whom are drawn from the academies in the Trust. The Board is drawn up in line with the model provided by the Department for Education.

The Board is made up of three groups all of whom work together to enhance the education of the children in our care.

Governors at Standens Barn Primary

The local academy committee (LAC) acts as a committee of the trust board at local level.  Governors are people with a passion for education who have a connection to the school and who want to make a positive contribution to the pupil experience.  Governors must be over the age of 18.

The work of the LAC is governed by the trust scheme of delegation which you can find here

Governors meet termly.  They offer challenge and support to the head teacher, set strategic direction, and monitor and evaluate school performance.  They also monitor safeguarding arrangements and are the local link for parents and others in the local community.

Members of the Local Advisory Board

Amie James

I am the Headteacher at the school.  I work with the Advisory Committee to ensure that the education the children receive is the best it can be.

I have worked at the school for a number of years and during this time my role has changed and evolved over time. I was a class teacher and then became a non class based SENCO and Deputy Head teacher. I have had the privilege of watching the school grow and develop for many years and it has been fabulous to continue to see our children thrive in our wonderful learning environment. I am now very proud to be the Head of the school and to work with a super team of people and wonderful children.
