Breakfast and after school club (Wrap around care)
At Standens Barn Primary School, we are proud to offer flexible, reliable wraparound childcare to support our busy families.
Whether you need care before or after school, our friendly team is here to help your child start and end their day in a safe, fun and nurturing environment.
Breakfast Club
Time: 8:00am – 8:45am
Breakfast includes cereals, toast and toppings and pastries. Children meet their friends, enjoy a healthy breakfast and play.
Each session is only £5.00 per day per child.
Activities are also included.
We can cater for a maximum of 30 children at each breakfast session so please book early to avoid disappointment.
After School Club
Time: 3:15pm – 5:45pm
A relaxed and engaging space where children can unwind, play, and take part in activities with familiar adults in a familiar setting.
The children are given drinks, snacks and a small meal so they remain well energised until they go home.
The children also get additional opportunities to play on the school playground equipment and in the school hall and we are also offering new and different activities for each day of the week:

Dance/ Karaoke
Wednesday:
Baking
Thursday:
Arts/ crafts
Friday:
Movie night
Each session is £11.00 per day per child.
We can cater for a maximum of 30 children at each after school club session so please book early to avoid disappointment.
If you are interested in your child attending either Breakfast Club and/or After School Club, please collect our Wrap around care policy and complete our parental agreement and hand back to the school office. This will need to be completed before you book a place.
To book a place for either club, please visit our online payment system called Arbor App or Arbor Parent Portal.
Please be aware that as spaces are limited booking is done on a first come first served basis.
Tax-free childcare
We would also like to share with you information about the UK Government’s Tax-Free Childcare scheme, and how it can help you cover the costs of our wrap around care provision.
What is Tax-Free Childcare?
Tax-Free Childcare is a government initiative designed to help working parents with the cost of childcare. For every £8 you pay into a dedicated online childcare account, the government adds £2—giving you a 25% top-up. You can receive up to:
- £500 every three months (£2,000 per year) per child
- £1,000 every three months (£4,000 per year) if your child has a disability
This support can be used to pay for approved childcare providers, including our own wraparound care at Standens Barn Primary.
To be eligible, you must be working (including self-employment) and earning at least the equivalent of 16 hours per week at minimum wage. You must also earn less than £100,000 per year per parent.
