SEND Information

Mrs Denise Bethell is our Special Needs and Disabilities Coordinator (SENDCO).  If you would like to contact her, please telephone 01604 413151 or denise.bethell@sbps.inmat.org.uk.

Children may have special needs or emotional & behavioural needs at any time throughout their time at school.  Needs may vary but they will fall into the following categories Communicating and Interacting, Cognition and Learning, Social emotional and mental health difficulties or Sensory and/or physical needs.  We endeavour to identify children as early as possible so that we can provide them with the support that they need.  We follow the Local Authority guidelines and the Code of Practice regarding the assessment and identification of children.  We work closely with specialists, including; Educational Psychologist, Speech and Language Therapist, School Nursing Team, Occupational Therapy Services and many more.  This ensures that we meet the needs of the children effectively.

We also aim to provide support staff within each class so that interventions can be established and so children can work in small groups or individually to support their learning.
